Purpose . . . Provides a focus on helping those with team facilitation responsibility to understand and perform the various roles of a successful 'shadow leader'.  Highly developed teams grow and mature to the point where they are largely self-facilitating and need to call on the assistance of the facilitator only in an emergency.  Effective facilitators create a working environment, which fosters involvement from everyone.
